We have realized some tenants might be getting charged paying rent through Apartments.com. If this is happening to you, we can help. 

To help with clarification, Aparments.com does charge when payments are completed using a debit card or credit card. Although a debit card is connected and takes money out of a bank account, charges still apply due to the debit card being used. Charges are usually around 2.75%.

To remedy this, (this is the FREE method) find the Apartments.com webpage for payments where you can manually add your bank account and routing information. It will take 3-5 days to confirm the bank account. Remember to set Apartments.com up more than a few days before the first rent payment is due to provide a smooth payment transaction and to save on the possibility of late fees. When paying rent directly from the bank account without using a debit or credit card, sending rent does not cost any money. It is free.
